About York House Residential Home

 

York House is situated in the village of Billinghay, which is ten miles north east of Sleaford and sixteen miles from both Boston and Lincoln. It is a progressive community with shops, Doctors surgery, Churches, Library and social amenities serving a wide surrounding rural area. York House was established by the previous owners in 1987 and taken over by L J Care Homes Limited in August 2004. The home is set in approximately three quarters of an acre of mature grounds with a river frontage, offering residents very pleasant and quiet surroundings.


The home has a maximum capacity of 16 residents. Within the home, there are two shared rooms, whilst the remaining rooms are singles, three rooms downstairs are en-suite.


Home cooking is provided, and all diets are catered for.


The staff aim is to promote independence, but are aware of resident’s individual needs. All residents care plans are reviewed and assessed regularly to ensure care needs are being met, this is carried out by the residents Key Worker, Social Services carry out yearly reviews.


Training and updating are ongoing for the staff, this is to ensure high quality care is given. Care staff are trained or are training to N.V.Q Level 2/3 in care.


The home provides a full range of services for the residents, some of which include Hairdressing, Chiropody, Eye Care.
The Residential Home is a small, friendly, warm home, where individuals are encouraged to treat the premises as their own home.
